WOW!!! Who knew. I was blog surfing from Christy's (Moysh) page and found you. That is so cool. My son is getting his papers in order and preparing himself to serve the Lord full time. I will keep checking on you.
Hey Tom and Pattie--I just now spent the last few minutes catching up on reading your Blog, and MY---it's sure INTERESTING!! I had read right up to your experiences in Armenia, and it was fascinating to me to read about all that stuff you saw while there.
Seeing all your quirky little apartment items makes me think you're sure going to appreciate all the magnificent appliances and household items you have when you get back home. WOW! Remember those few months before you were sent off to Russia, you were serving at the Family History Center and living at home? Well, Tom was standing and talking to me and Dennis one Sunday and he said, "Hey, we're living at the Taj Mahal and still serving the Lord, so we have the best of both worlds." And when you get back to your "Taj Mahal", oh how thankful and delighted you're going to be!! Meanwhile--you're sure keeping a GREAT attitude about things, and I really, really admire you!! Lots of Love to you! from Karen
Hi! We're Tom and Pat Arave and we are preparing to serve in the Armenia, Yaravan mission. Where is Armenia anyway?? We're from little Wapello, ID and still can't believe we're really going to Armenia.....what happened to Mexico?!?!? We're still excited to serve no matter what!! We will be serving as Armenia country directors of LDS Charities. Okay so Armenia is old news and what a whirl wind mission we have had. Our mission got changed to Saint Petersburg, Russia. We had to wait two months for our visas but we are finally here and trying to settle in to a whole new world.
